This is a very concise guide on mindfulness and how you can start practicing it in your life. I loved how the author started with explaining what mindfulness is, its benefits, exercises on how you can get started as well as detailed descriptions of yoga poses and meditation techniques. The author has a simple way of explaining his ideas in a way that one can immediately understand, comprehend and apply in his or her life.The book would have been more enjoyable if the yoga poses were illustrated to ensure proper understanding and stances.
The bonuses at the end of the chapter including over fifty five mindfulness tips, quotes and smartphone applications to inculcate the practice of mindfulness into one's life was very insightful and helpful.
All in all, a very beneficial and motivating book.

Mindfulness book is really helpful to me it gives me insight on how I should think. And I found it very helpful to me, the benefit I gain in this book is not too much stress, improve my memory and most especially less emotional re activity. Mindfulness is the practice of mediation that concentrates on the present moment. Whether focusing on something external such as the elements as the water, or on something internal such as your internal breathing or a combination of the two. Oftentimes, it is used as means to help one de-stress, cope w/anxiety and ward off depression.
Needless to say, I found it to be a great mindfulness resource.
“Mindfulness” is a rich resource for those who help individuals struggling with issues that prevent them from achieving fulfillment. While the book is intended for mental health practitioners, the lessons it contains are applicable to anyone, particularly executive coaches, who are helping others develop self-awareness and improve relations with others. I have already a mindfulness book but this one is very exceptional. Its step to step description attract me much. Recommended.

There were a lot of worthwhile and beneficial tips in the beginner’s tips list. Somehow I felt it was like a whole technique broken down into steps to make it easier to comprehend and follow. There was a great deal of useful tips here and the mindfulness apps chapter held my interest the most.
I didn’t have a very ‘clear’ idea about mindfulness until I read the components of mindfulness here (being in the moment, attentiveness, compassion etc.). They made this seem a lot easier to understand, the purpose of mindfulness and how it works to help me. Also the following part on how mindfulness can benefit me contained a great deal of insight to this subject.
Mindfulness is a concept that improved my life massively. The stress, anxiety and small struggles of everyday are so much easier when you try and stick with principles laid out in this book.
I have read a lot of mindfulness guides and this one is nothing extra special, but it is a good introduction for beginners. I like how it leans more towards practice and has great advice, and not so much on theoretical stuff like some other books I have seen. That makes starting out so much easier.
The thing I didn't like is too much space wasted on quotes about mindfulness at the end of the book. I mean, that is just filler, who needs 100+ quotes. But, other than that, a pretty good book for those curious about mindfulness.
