The Astonishing Power of Gratitude edition by Wes Hopper Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews
I have been told for years about the value of Gratitude. Until I read this short book, it was just information that floated around in my mind. After reading it, I had specific things to do to increase my gratitude awareness. I have referred many people to this book and will continue to recommend it, enthusiastically.
Wes Hopper's book is easy to read and understand. Each of the 5 parts is introduced, explained and summarized into a principle that is possible to carry into everyday living. My 'ah ha' moment came when I read the part about 'not settling' - something I had never considered as OK. I thought gratitude meant 'settling' - to JUST be grateful. So this is huge for me- to understand that I can be grateful and move beyond that without compromising my values. Powerful and motivating!
The Astonishing Power of Gratitude by Wes Hopper has helped thousands here in Central Ohio and throughout the world. As a volunteer "Life Review" Instructor for Hospice of Central Ohio I recommend each volunteer/patient/family read this wonderful book by Wes Hopper. When a person is in the process of dropping their body they focus on many negative/frustrating parts of their life. This book helps them focus on what they are grateful for and it brings them right into the "Present or Now". Wes gives great advice on how to shift our thoughts to gratitude and love. Each of the hundreds of Hospice patients I have interviewed eventually rest on the same three most important things in their lives. To cut to the chase the hospice patients recognize "God, Family and Friends" are the most important areas of their lives. What the patient and YOU are grateful for is their/your life story. Gratitude is one of the powerful virtues.
I set aside a separate chapter on Gratitude in my first kindle eBook 'Hope for the Best'.
In this little eBook,Wes Hopper talks about what is Gratitude and the 4 mistakes we make to keep away from feeling
gratitude.
Gratitude is a positive vibration of thought.
It is powerfully attractive.
Sometimes, just saying 'Thank You' is enough.
When you are vibrating with positive energy, you will attract positive things to your life.
Here are the 4 mistakes
1.Scarcity Thinking
This Universe is abundant.
There is enough for each one of us.
Instead of thinking about what we want,we should be thankful for what we have now.
Universe will bring us whatever we are grateful for.
Scarcity thinking will block us from feeling Grateful.
2.Resistance
There is a Law of Polarity which states that there is a equal and opposite side for everything.
Everything is happening for our good.
This Universe is a friendly universe.
Non-Reistance means that we accept what it is and move on.
If you are reistant to the flow, you are sending out a negative vibe.
Non-Reistance puts you in Gratitude, which is a positive vibe.
3.Satisfaction
We have to live in the present moment and be Happy and Grateful for what we have.
But we shouldn't get satisfied with what we have.
That will block the way for more expansion.
Be happy in the now but never get satisfied.
4.Unforgiveness
Forgive yourself and Others.
If you carry resentment,it is harmful for your health.
Unforgiveness is a blockage in the way of success.
Give it away whatever you want to manifest.
If you want money, give money. If you want Time, give your time.
By giving,we show gratitude for we already have, which will bring more of the same.
There are simple exercises at the end of this book which are life changing.
There are recommendations for further reading.
